WASHING BRAND-NAME CLOTHES
- Carefully read the instructions on the clothing label to know the appropriate washing method for each type of product.
- Pay attention to clothes that are designated for dry cleaning.
- Separate colored and white clothes before washing to avoid color transfer from one garment to another.
- Do not use hot water to wash clothes because it can easily stretch the fabric and fade the color of the clothes.
- Do not pour soap or detergent directly onto clothes.
- Do not soak clothes in fabric softener for more than 15 minutes.
- Be careful when washing clothes made from chiffon, lace, wool, or knitted fabric; Clothes with stones, beads, metals… should be cleaned by dry cleaning, should not be machine washed or hand washed to avoid damage.
- For costumes made from silk, brocade, and velvet, you should dry clean them to avoid shrinkage and stretching of the fabric
IRONING/IRONING CLOTHES
- Use a water spray bottle when ironing/ironing clothes to save time and make ironing easier.
- For thin fabrics, chiffon, knitted fabrics, silk, brocade, velvet… you should put a layer of fabric on top of the clothes and then iron them to avoid burning and damaging the clothes.
- Do not iron directly on the printed surface of the garment, turn the garment upside down and then begin ironing.
- You should not suddenly increase or decrease the temperature. You should sort your clothes and then iron them from low to high heat.
- Adjust the temperature of the iron/iron to suit each fabric material:
- Cotton: Adjust temperature to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Artificial silk (Elastane/ Spandex/ Lycra): Adjust temperature to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Wool and silk: Adjust temperature to 150 degrees Celsius.
